What a last name for a music editor huh? (You know, cut and PASTE, GoodPASTER. Oh forget it.)
Amanda's funniest trait is how she reacts to things going wrong: The worse things get, the more she laughs, which I guess breaks the tension. Then there's the times when things aren't exactly terrible, but she knows my reaction will be negative, and the laughing begins again: When we were mixing the music to Incognito we were up very late nights very far away from where I live. I asked Amanda to look for a hotel in the area (Venice, CA). When she returned to describe where I was staying, she could not get out two words before the uncontrollable giggle attack began. I knew right away I was in trouble. The "Belle Bleu" Motel was where I was headed (there was a convention taking all the other hotel space.) I won't get into it, but when the windows to your motel room are simply screens with sounds of people walking by in the alley, it's not that funny. Unless you're Amanda! As I lay there staring at the ceiling I heard the echoes of her giggles in my head, and laughed myself. Then I took my Ativan.
Amanda is tireless though. Just when I think I am going to drop dead of fatigue, I look over and there she is staring into the Pro-tools screen like a crazed scientist typing away. Damon and Amanda have this banter of calling each other the crudest names imaginable (mainly initiated by Damon.) To the outsider it may all seem sordid, but Amanda just sluffs it off and returns the comments.
