Right in the middle of one of the worst experiences of my career, (Cruel Intentions) "Fantasy Island" was a beautiful oasis recharging my spirit. During a re-filming lull on Cruel, the makers of "Fantasy Island" hired me to write the theme and pilot episode. I saw this as a great mental opportunity to change gears and add some joy to my music - and my psyche. I got together my orchestra and recorded almost the entire episode acoustically. (Actually I ended up spending more on the score than I was paid, which shows how much it meant to me.) It was just plain fun and I got to explore new musical sides of me aching to get out. For some cosmic reason, Sony is forbidding the actual release of the score, even though it is non-union. At any rate, a promo has been produced by Ford Thaxton of Sonic Images. The score also includes a reissue promo of my score to Cable Guy.
